Students Honored for Mechatronics, Robotics & Jet Toy Challenge

STEM Jet Toy Challenge

Sealevel employees joined other local technology companies and our local schools for An Evening of Celebration at the Pickens County Career and Technology Center. The event recognized elementary through high school students’ achievements in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) program. Among those recognized were 2011 and 2012 State Champion Mechatronics team, the nationally acclaimed FIRST Robotics program (Team #2751) and the Society of Automotive Engineers International Champion Jet Toy Challenge team. D.W. Daniel High School was also recognized as the #1 South Carolina Public High School in rankings by US News and World Report.

Curtis Todd, Diamond Bullet Studios LLCThe event was hosted by the School District of Pickens County and Alliance Pickens. All of the evening’s proceeds went to STEM activities, such as the acquisition of more robots, equipment, and registration fees for the various technical competitions.
