England To Win The World Cup?

England is going to win the World Cup. That’s a contentious statement, for an Englishman living in the USA, with whom our first game will be fought out. However, I firmly believe we have as good a chance since 1966 of holding aloft that esteemed 18 carat gold beauty.

Premier League: An Arsenal Fan in South Carolina

So World Cup fever is sweeping across the world, well everywhere apart from the United States. Being an avid football fan, I must admit I miss the greatest sport on earth over here in South Carolina. Sometimes I get to catch the odd game on ESPN on a Saturday morning; however, this is no substitute for beers, Balti pies and the roar of the crowd on a Saturday afternoon.

The Glow of Community Spirit at Greenville’s Google on Main

My experience is normally when a group congregates, it’s to protest about something or make themselves heard for a cause, which only really affects them. Hamster Wheel: From the UK to Sealevel

After many years in this industry slogging it out every day, things began to go stale. I mean business was good, projects were interesting and life in the sleepy town of Stone, England was, well not that exciting. I can only liken it to a hamster wheel, life going round and round. Every day became ground hog day, that same song on the radio, the same faces in the pub on a Friday night. Round and round. I needed change, and change is what I got.
