WOULD YOU RATHER BE A CHARACTER IN “THE HANGOVER”, “PULP FICTION” OR “STEEL MAGNOLIAS”?
Steel Magnolias. I love that movie. At the saddest time, when the mother is grieving over the death of her daughter, she said she just wants to hit somebody, Olivia Dukakis character pushed Shirley McClain’s character and said,“Here, hit Ouiser .” Then everyone starts laughing at the worst time in a mother’s life. I have lost a child, and I know that feeling and you need your friends to lift your spirits anyway possible.

For the past twenty years, quilters across the United States have celebrated their handiwork and their creativity on National Quilting Day (March 19). Sealevel’s resident quilter, Wanda, tells her story of volunteerism, quilting and keeping the past alive.

Wanda Adams, Accounts Receivable

Wanda Adams has worked at Sealevel for 15 years. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, she is responsible for billing customers, applying payments and collecting past due accounts. Originally from Greenville, SC, Wanda has lived in Pickens, SC for almost 25 years. Before coming to Sealevel, she worked in the business office at the Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse and at the Pickens County Magistrate Office.
