You may have heard that our spokesperson and good friend Chuck Leavell is performing a one-night only show in Greenville next week. We’re really excited about this show for a lot of reasons, but most of all, we’re happy to be partnering with Chuck, the Randall Bramblett Band, Edwin McCain and Euphoria to help support our communities.

I’m proud to announce that our friend and spokesperson Chuck Leavell will be receiving a well-deserved honor this weekend. During the 54th Annual Grammy Awards, Chuck will be included to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award with the Allman Brothers Band. Be sure to check your local listings and check out the show.
Sealevel proudly sponsored Euphoria’s kickoff event, 2011 Songwriter’s Recipe: Songs and Stories from Euphoria Unplugged, at the Warehouse Theater. This year’s event featured three singer/songwriters: Will Hoge, Maia Sharp, and Edwin McCain. The performers introduced each song with some background behind the song or a relevant anecdote.
I often get asked why we have associated our business with rock and roller, environmentalist, and great guy, Chuck Leavell. You have to understand the culture here to see the connection. I think the creative boost works. Sealevel employs and retains extremely bright and creative people in all disciplines. We work, eat, party, care for, attend games, and do lots of community service as a company.
The world has lost another musical legend this week. Delta blues pianist Pinetop Perkins died of a heart attack in Austin on March 21. From the origin of our name to our spokesman, Chuck Leavell, to Sealevel engineer Frank Phelps’ son’s band, Burning Nova, music has a huge role in life at Sealevel. We owe a huge debt to the men and women who gave it their all on stage and in the studio to bring us the soundtracks to our lives. Without musical pioneers like Pinetop Perkins, our world wouldn’t be the same.
