Initial product failures – products that are dead on arrival – leave terrible impressions on customers. Furthermore, these failures can cause a chain reaction of subsequent issues as the customer’s own product delivery or project schedule is delayed until a replacement can be received. Reducing the chances of shipping a DOA product to a customer depends on many things including the product, the end application and the intended operating environment.

Our relationship with Clemson University’s International Center for Automotive Excellence (CU-ICAR) has been extremely beneficial for conducting testing for electromagnetic interference (EMI) to ensure products will not interfere with other equipment in use nearby. A new, enhanced version of Sealevel’s SeaLINK software, supporting the Sealevel family of Ethernet to serial devices, has been released. The SeaLINK V5 driver for Microsoft Windows has been rewritten from the ground up to provide increased throughput, improved security features, additional diagnostic capabilities, and support for new SeaLINK serial devices launching this year.
