Systems Introduces 16-Port, PCI Serial I/O Adapter Designed using the XR16C850 UART, the COMM+16.PCI supports standard PC data rates and boasts a top speed of 460.8K bps. Each port provides a 128-byte FIFO, 16 times larger than boards designed with 16C550 parts, to allow error free operation even in high-speed applications. Connection to the board is made through two high-density 68-pin connectors that fan out to 16 individual DB25 male connectors. The COMM+16.PCI also features a Universal Bus as required by PCISIG specification 2.3, allowing compatibility with today’s new 3.3V computers as well as older 5V systems. The COMM+16.PCI, product number 7161, is available immediately from stock. Price is $599 in low volume quantities, and like all Sealevel products, the COMM+16.PCI is backed by a lifetime warranty. Offers Highest Serial Port Count in Low Profile Format The ULTRA COMM+8.LPCI provides eight RS-232 ports and includes a single cable that terminates to eight DB25M connectors. The Low Profile form factor is especially useful in applications where space is at a premium such as 1U Servers, Thin Clients, and Net Appliance applications. Also, many of today’s latest desktop computers are designed to minimize space requirements and will only accept Low Profile compatible cards. The

The ACB-232.LPCI is a cost-effective way to implement a variety of synchronous communication protocols. To complement the board, Sealevel has introduced our latest version of SeaMAC synchronous software driver: SeaMAC V4. Synchronous communications methods include SDLC, HDLC, and BiSync. Another useful protocol supported by SeaMAC V4 is raw mode (also known as “bit shifter” mode). The ACB-232.LPCI card is based on the Zilog™ 85230 ESCC. This synchronous controller is in widespread use today in a variety of applications including military and aviation simulations, missile guidance, and commercial digital communications. The ACB-232.LPCI, product number 5103, is available immediately from stock and has a retail price of $299. OEM / Volume pricing is available. For
