Adding to our support
for mobile applications, Sealevel has introduced five new
serial products offering a convenient way to add RS-232,
RS-422, or RS-485 communications to PDAs, laptops, and other
portable devices not normally equipped with serial ports. Target applications include medical, point-of-sale
(POS), data acquisition, and control.
We are also proud to introduce a new book
co-written by well-known technical author Jon Titus and
Sealevel President and CEO, Tom O'Hanlan. The Digital
I/O Handbook is
intended as a training guide and pocket reference for
students, plant personnel, and control integrators. This
book is offered free with the purchase of qualifying
Sealevel digital I/O products.
CompactFlash Cards Offer Easy Expansion for Portable Devices
Choose
from four new Sealevel CompactFlash devices offering low
power consumption and easy installation. Driver software is included
for popular operating systems including Windows 2000 and
XP, and they are automatically recognized in hardware running
Windows CE and PocketPC. The cards are compatible with 3.3V and
5V devices and can operate
at speeds up to 921.6K bps. One-port models are CompactFlash
Type I compliant, and the RS-232 card can be ordered with a permanently
affixed ruggedized cable. The two-port card is CompactFlash Type
II compliant and includes optical isolation on both RS-232 ports
for protection against transients and ground loops.
All
of the products provide protection against electrostatic discharge
(ESD).
Sealevel CompactFlash serial cards are housed in a rugged metal case and are
backed by a Lifetime Warranty. Cards are available immediately from stock and
prices begin at $119.
