The Bluetooth serial adapter and SeaI/O module communicate via the included cable using Windows software or standard serial AT commands. Existing monitoring and control applications that use a wired RS-232 serial port will work using a wireless Bluetooth connection. The BT-SD100 is ideal for industrial applications where a wired RS-232 serial connection is impractical.
The Bluetooth serial adapter is a Class 1, v1.2 device and will communicate with similar Bluetooth-enabled host devices up to 100 meters away using the standard stub antenna, even through walls. Optional antennas can extend the range up to 1,000 feet. The Bluetooth serial adapter is easily configured without software using dip switches and a pairing button.
