Downtown Greenville has really come into its own in the past 15 years. These days it seems to be constantly buzzing with activity. I wouldn’t claim it to be the “city that never sleeps,” but Greenville is growing and downtown has become a destination location for visitors from surrounding areas.
Last weekend Greenville hosted an event called Artisphere which has grown in size every year since it began in 2005. The slogan for Artisphere describes it well: Arts. Culture. Life. Beginning on Thursday, Main Street is alive all weekend with visual, performing, and culinary arts. Visitors get a taste for the southern cuisine scene of Greenville, while also seeing just how much the arts are growing in this city.
For this year’s Artisphere, Sealevel participated as one of the major sponsors. Sealevel’s owners, Tom and Susan O’Hanlan, had the honor of judging the culinary arts contest. Not a bad gig! If you visit the Sealevel facility in Liberty, SC you can see the passion and respect Susan O’Hanlan has for quality art work.
Tom and Susan were able to enjoy all of the delicious dishes that were prepared by the top local eateries in Greenville and then they voted on their favorites. If you would like to see all of the pictures from Artisphere including all the incredible food please visit our Facebook page!
