This document describes the Sealevel Systems SeaIO Classic for Windows software release.

This document is divided into the following sections:

Description
===========
    SeaIO Classic software provides a powerful driver and Application Programming Interface to support 
    operation and control of a reliable family of Sealevel digital and programmable IO products for PCI(e) and USB.


Requirements
============
    1. SeaIO Classic family Digital or Programmable I/O hardware
    2. 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7 or 10
        NOTE: Windows 7 requires the following updates. Search for these updates at https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com
              to download.
        a. KB976932 (Service Pack 1)
        b. KB3033929
    3. 20MB free hard drive space.


Changes
=======
Version 5.1.6
    1. Driver
        a. Added support for 8003ec, 8004ec and 8006ec.
        b. Replaced coinstaller with property page extension DLL.
        c. Removed support for ISA devices.
        d. There is now a single copy of the driver files for Windows 7 and 10.
    2. Documentation
        a. Removed mention of ISA cards, Windows 8.1 OS, and other outdated technologies.
        b. Updated formatting.
    3. General
        a. Re-branded SeaIO to SeaIO Classic.
    4. Samples
        a. Various fixes to C++ and C# sample projects.
        b. Updates to copyright years and branding
        c. Removal of precompiled headers from SIOCmd project file


Known Issues
============
    1. Windows 7 requires the following updates:
        a. KB976932 (Service Pack 1) - see https://support.microsoft.com/kb/976932
        b. KB3033929 (SHA-2 code signing) - see https://support.microsoft.com/kb/3033929
    2. On Windows 7, driver installation requires the user to accept a warning message because Microsoft no longer allows
       cross-certificate signing.
    3. The driver will not install on Windows 8.1 due to the above issue.
    4. USB products for SeaIO Classic are classified as legacy, and they will not function properly in USB 3 ports nor in
       certain USB 2.0 ports which use USB 3 technology.  See https://www.sealevel.com for SeaI/O or SeaDAC USB products
       that are compatible with USB 3.
