This document is divided into the following sections: o Description o Requirements o Changes o Known Issues o Technical Support Description =========== SeaCOM provides a powerful Win32 interface (CreateFile, ReadFile, WriteFile, etc) for Sealevel asynchronous serial products. Requirements ============ 1. Sealevel Systems asynchronous serial hardware. 2. 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 NOTE: Windows 7 requires the following additional updates o Service Pack 1 - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15090/windows-7-install-service-pack-1-sp1 o KB3033929 - SHA-2 Support - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3033929 3. Microsoft .NET Framework v4.0 or later. 4. 20MB free hard drive space. Changes ======= Version 3.8.1 1. Drivers a. SeaCOM-Exar v5.5.1.1 - Added support for 7804c. - Merged from upstream Maxlinear/Exar driver v5.5.0.0. - Fixed bug where cards don't work after PC wakes from sleep. 2. Utilities a. SeaCOM PortManager .NET v1.2.0.3 - Fixed bug with 9312 where selecting Termination was allowed while RS-232 was selected. - Fixed bug with 9312 where selecting Slew Rate Limiter and Termination were allowed while Tri-State mode was selected. - Re-enabled Rescan button. - Split panel is horizontal instead of vertical since the Description and ID columns can be quite wide. - Using new down arrow icon to represent disabled devices. This helps distinguish from nonpresent devices. - Remove button is disabled when form is loaded since nothing is selected initially. - Improved automatic detection and refresh upon device removal, insertion, and reassignment. b. WinSSD v3.4.1.2 - Fixed control tab ordering - Fixed bug where setting configuration of SEAMAC device wrongly showed an error message when no error occurred and showed no error when an error occurred. Known Issues ============ 1. Windows 7 requires the following additional updates o Service Pack 1 - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15090/windows-7-install-service-pack-1-sp1 o KB3033929 - SHA-2 Support - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3033929 2. The SeaCOM-Exar driver on Windows 7 requires the user to accept a warning message because Microsoft no longer allows cross-certificate signing. 3. The SeaCOM-Exar driver will not install on Windows 8.1 due to the above issue.
