This document describes the Sealevel Systems SeaMAC for Windows software release.

Description
===========
    SeaMAC provides a powerful WIN32 interface (CreateFile, ReadFile, WriteFile, etc) 
    for Sealevel synchronous serial products. SeaMAC supports many popular protocols 
    including HDLC/SDLC and various bisync, monosync, and raw (bit-shifter) modes.


Requirements
============
    1. Sealevel Systems synchronous serial hardware.
    2. 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7 or 8.1
        NOTE: Windows 7 requires the following additional updates
        o Service Pack 1 - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15090/windows-7-install-service-pack-1-sp1
        o KB3033929 - SHA-2 Support - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3033929
    3. (Optional) Microsoft .NET Framework v3.5 SP1, or later.
    4. 20MB free hard drive space.

Known Issues
============
    1. Windows 7 requires the following additional updates
        o Service Pack 1 - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15090/windows-7-install-service-pack-1-sp1
        o KB3033929 - SHA-2 Support - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3033929
    2. Async mode prevents data rates higher than 115200 from being configured
    3. R56 type devices (5101, 5104, etc.) do not implement Write Timeouts
        o Any values will work with this version
        o Sealevel recommends setting them to appropriate values for compatibility with newer driver versions
