This document describes the Sealevel Systems SeaMAX for Windows software
release.

This document is divided into the following sections:

Description
===========
    The SeaMAX Suite is a collection of configuration/diagnostic utilities and
    software libraries that enable rapid application development. The SeaMAX
    API, included in the SeaMAX Suite, provides a common application interface
    for Sealevel hardware families supported by the Suite. The SeaMAX API is
    designed to simplify application development by requiring little knowledge
    of the underlying communication protocols of these devices, eliminating the
    need for low-level programming. The SeaMAX API is available in both an
    unmanaged library and a .NET wrapper library that exposes the API to managed
    code.


Requirements
============
    1. Sealevel Systems Flexio, SeaI/O, SeaDAC, SeaDAC Lite, SeaRAQ, SeaConnect,
       or eI/O family hardware.
    2. 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1, or 10
        NOTE: Windows 7 requires the following updates. Search for these updates
        at https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com to download.
        a. KB976932 (Service Pack 1)
        b. KB3033929
    3. 25MB free hard drive space.

    2. Driver
        a. Added support for Flexio 9541, 9542
        b. Removed FTDI coinstaller due to incompatibility with Microsoft
           attestation signing. This removes the convenience feature of
           automatic COM port enumeration ordering for these multi-port
           products: 641U, 643U, 646U, 647U, 681U, 683U, 686U, 687U.
    3. Installer
        a. Fixed bug: drivers reinstalled during package uninstallation.
    4. Library
        a. Added support for Flexio 9541, 9542
        b. Corrected return values for methods in SeaMAX API Managed.
    5. Samples
        a. Projects target Visual Studio 2019 only.
        b. Updated Windows SDK Version in C++ samples from 8.1 to 10.0.19041.0.
        c. Using relative paths for post-build SeaMAX.dll copy commands.
        d. Included SDL_GetSerial in C# and VB.NET code.
    6. Utilities
        a. MaxSSD:
            - Fixed bug: after connecting to a SeaRAQ card, Get Module Settings
              button disappears.
            - Built targeting Visual Studio 2019, Windows platform 10.0.19041.0.
            - Updated fonts.
        b. IOCU, SeaIOCU:
            - Targeting Windows 10.
        c. SeaMAX Ethernet Configuration Utility:
            - Updated fonts.
            - Allow multiple MAC address separators in Recovery dialog (colon,
              hyphen, space, or none).
            - Disabled initial automatic search for devices.
