Sealevel Engineer Earns Third Under 40 Recognition
LIBERTY, S.C. — Cameron Bolton, hardware design engineer II at Sealevel Systems Inc., has been named a 2026 SCBIZ Emerging Leaders Under 40 honoree, marking his third professional Under 40 recognition since 2021.
Bolton is one of 100 professionals selected for the first statewide class of Emerging Leaders Under 40.
Previously presented through regional Forty Under 40 programs, the SCBIZ recognition honors South Carolinians for professional accomplishment and community involvement. A panel of previous honorees and SCBIZ leaders selected the 2026 class.
The SCBIZ honor follows Bolton’s selection for DesignCon’s 2026 40 Under 40 and Control Engineering’s 2021 Engineering Leaders Under 40 programs.
“I’m honored to be included among professionals making a difference across South Carolina,” Bolton said. “The most rewarding part of engineering is seeing a design move from the bench into production and knowing it will help a customer solve a real problem.”
Bolton joined Sealevel in 2019 after earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Clemson University. His work includes designing circuit boards, developing programmable logic and embedded firmware, testing prototypes and guiding products into production.
His projects include rugged USB hubs, custom telemetry boards and serial communication cards. The USB hubs connect equipment in demanding environments, while the telemetry boards collect and transmit data from equipment and sensors for remote monitoring and diagnostics. Serial communication cards allow specialized equipment to exchange data with modern computers.
Together, these products help customers monitor operations, maintain reliable connections and keep specialized systems in service across industries such as defense, manufacturing and energy.
“Cameron can see a difficult problem from several angles,” said Jeff Baldwin, Sealevel’s director of engineering. “He knows how to bring the pieces together, work across departments and carry a design through validation and production. His technical depth and willingness to help others make this recognition well deserved.”
Bolton’s community involvement includes three years of service through Sealevel’s ComPASSION Week, helping complete projects at local nonprofit organizations.
SCBIZ will recognize the 2026 honorees Oct. 20 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. Honoree profiles will appear in the October issue of SCBIZ.
